Video Instructions
For video services that include an agent intro and outro, this page provides instructions on how to preparate to speak on camera in the video.
Preparation for Agent On Camera in Video
Prepare to shine! To ensure that your upcoming video appointment is a success, we've compiled some helpful tips to guide you for the on camera portion of your video. You will be recording two sections of the video: an “Intro” at the beginning of the video and an “Outro” at the end of the video. Clips of the home will be played between these two sections. You can, of course, opt out of the on camera portion of this video if you prefer.
Intro (up to 60 seconds)
The video will open with an Intro where you welcome the viewer to your new listing:
-
Warm welcome: Start with a friendly greeting and introduce yourself. Briefly mention your experience and expertise in the area.
-
Property highlights: Briefly mention the home's most impressive features or the most compelling aspects of its location. Focus on no more than 2 to 3 highlights.
-
Entice viewers: Invite viewers to experience your new listing by watching the video you are introducing.
“Hi everyone, I'm [Your Name], a real estate agent who has been specializing in [Location] since 2003. Today, I'm thrilled to introduce you to a truly exceptional property at [Property Address]. This home was completely remodeled less than 5 years ago, and the owners spared no expense on the upgrades. You will especially like what they have done with the gourmet kitchen with all new appliances, high end cabinetry, quartz countertops and subway tile backsplash. This home is also close to downtown shopping and within an easy commute of the area's major employers. I know you can't wait to see it, so let's take a look inside this beautiful property…”
Outro (up to 60 seconds)
-
Compelling call to action: Clearly state what you want viewers to do next — scheduling a showing, contacting you directly, or visiting a website for more information. No need to speak your phone number, email, or other contact info; it will be listed on the Agent Contact Card shown at the beginning and end of the video.
-
Express your enthusiasm: End with a confident and inviting statement that reinforces the home's appeal.
“Don't miss out on your chance to own your dream home in [Location]! Call or text me to schedule your private showing. I can't wait to personally welcome you to [Property Address] and answer any questions you might have. Remember, homes as nice as this one rarely come to the market in this area, so act fast before your opportunity slips away!”
Pro Tips
-
Relax: Remember to smile! Just be the calm “people person” we all know you are.
-
Dress for success: Wear professional attire that is both comfortable and appropriate for an appearance in a video.
-
Lapel mic: We'll be using a lapel mic for clear audio, so be sure you are wearing clothing that will accommodate this piece of equipment.
-
Location: Think about where you will record the Intro and Outro. Find a well-lit, quiet space with a clean background to avoid distractions.
-
Practice makes perfect: Think about the key points you would like to make and rehearse your script ahead of time to ensure smooth delivery. We recommend that you DO NOT try to memorize your script — just speak to your main points in your normal conversational style and it will come across more naturally.
